History of Kidderpore College
The Kidderpore college, affiliated to the University of Calcutta flowered on 1st October 1966. Decendants of Maharaja Jay Narayan Ghoshal donated a plot of land for the formation of the college building. Generous donations from many others including Smt Sachi Rani Devi, Durgagati Sengupta etc
smoothened its onward journey. The actual administrative foundation was laid by Late" Jitendranath Banerjee", Founder – Principal, who happened to be the Headmaster of the Kidderpore Academy School (adjacent to the college).
The college is UGC affiliated In recent years, it has been accredited “B” grade (72.5%) by the NAAC.
